* what did you do in 2013 that you'd never done before?:
Moved out of the house for real and got an apartment. Also got plastic surgery. I sewed an article of clothing for cosplay for the first time, too.
* did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?:
Yes! Well, I mostly lost weight by having a bunch of loose skin removed surgically, but I think that counts.
My resolutions this year:
-By this time next year I should be able to have a body that I'm completely happy with.
-I will not get anything lower than a B in any of my classes and nothing below an A in German holy shit enough of this my grade getting docked to B level because of my attendance bullshit
-I will practice my violin every day
* did anyone close to you give birth?:
-I wouldn't say she's terribly close to me anymore, but an old friend of mine from grade school did.
* did anyone close to you die?:
-I lost my grandmother on my mom's side this year. It hurt me really badly. I really loved her.
* what places did you visit?:
-Chicago, like usual. I love Chicago way too much, man. Also Indianapolis. Not much, really.
* what would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013?:
A girlfriend (I broke up with Kendall back in January, so uh). More travel (not gonna happen but a girl can dream). More fucking money good lord.
* what date from 2013 will remain etched upon your memory?:
January 13th, mine and Korey's anniversary. We really went all out for it this year and it was lovely.
* what was your biggest achievement of the year?:
Not failing all my classes probably
* what was your biggest failure?:
Can we just not talk about how interior design went for me
* did you suffer illness or injury?:
Nothing major
* what was the best thing you bought?:
I wish I had some sort of good answer for this but I really don't. The best thing I bought was easily a Hitachi. Leave it to me to answer this with sex toys.

I...wow fuck I always hate this question so much because I don't really associate music with the year it came out or anything like that. I guess I'll say Magia by Kalafina since I heard it live, but honestly a few years down the road I'll listen to Magia and think "wow this song is so badass I love it and seeing it live was incredible", but "2013" won't be in my head.
* compared to this time last year, are you:
-happier or sadder? Probably sadder. This time last year I'd been through my first semester of college and more or less kicked ass. During 2013 I had a couple classes in both spring and fall semesters that destroyed my soul a little bit. I'm spending this winter break just resting and gearing up to not let this happen anymore.
-thinner or fatter? Thinner thank God finally omg omg I'm so close to being 100% happy with my body and I don't fucking hate what I see in the mirror anymore finally
-richer or poorer? About the same, honestly, but I feel poorer. Probably because I'm in charge of paying my own rent as opposed to before when my parents took care of the student housing.
* what do you wish you'd done more of:
Had more sex with women. Practiced my violin more. Exercised more.
* what do you wish you'd done less of?:
Wasted less time being depressed about dumb shit, eaten less fattening garbage
* how will you be spending the holidays?:
Well, they're over but how did I spend them? Quietly at home with my parents and my boyfriend. It was pretty nice. Oh, though we were in Chicago for Christmas Eve. Which was super nice.

Getting hideously drunk tonight awww yeah. Then tomorrow I will sleep in late, make dinner, and mostly just roll around and play games and watch anime.

Nah, just stayed in love with Korey.

5, but 4 of them were with the same girl. I still count them as one night stands though.
* what was your favorite TV program?:

The Hobbit. I spent most of 2013 rereading it and Lord of the Rings.

....Dubstep remixes of Trouble by Taylor Swift and of the Misty Mountains song from the Hobbit I quit I am the most ridiculous person ever
* what did you want and get?:
Plastic surgery to get the loose skin off me. Figures. A new DSLR camera!!! An actual physical copy of Fate/Stay Night (the VN not the shitty anime).
* what did you want and not get?:
A trip to Germany and this is going to be my answer every entire year that I spend not in Germany. A new girlfriend.
* what was your favorite film of this year?:
I saw a lot of excellent movies and I'd probably actually have a real, non-weeaboo answer, but then Madoka Magica Rebellion came out this year so fuck everything it's Madoka Magica Rebellion and I am a weeaboo. (Some runners up would be Iron Man 3, Pacific Rim, Les Miserables, Django Unchained, and Frozen. I know Les Mis and Django came out in 2012 but I didn't see them until 2013 so I count them as 2013 and you can just deal with it)
* what did you do on your birthday?:
Korey and I went to a botanical garden and took pretty pictures of butterflies, went to dinner at Takaoka like I always do for my birthday (though in 2014 I'll be in Bloomington so nope), went to a strip club (and I made friends with one of the strippers that was really cool),then had sex in the woods huh I didn't say anything else
* what one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?:
If I'd just been in Germany the whole time fuck everything. Or how about if I didn't fucking fail my interior design class because the way it's taught here is nonsensical. Yeah let's go with that.

Gee none of my pants fucking fit they're all too big but I'm too poor to buy new pants wow this is annoying I hate this I want new clothes. Also I wish I owned more tops that aren't just tshirts fuuuuuuck.

My boyfriend and Berlitz.
